Bell & Spina worked with the County, NYS Code Officials, and the NYS Department of Corrections to overcome the design challenge of connecting the complexes three buildings. Functions were reorganized within the existing complex and 40 new cells, a medical suite and other support facilities were introduced. The design produced a facility of operational ease, reducing the number of people needed to maintain it, thereby reducing County staffing costs.
