Space Planning Study

The space planning study encompassed the Sherriff’s Department, including the jail and interfacing operations such as Probation, Emergency Management Operations, and the Public Defender’s Office. Investigation of the construction of a new nursing home, adjacent to the jail complex, was added to the study. A plan was created that allowed for integrated and improved efficiency utilizing department adjacencies. An affinity matrix was developed to assist the County in developing options and the decision making process.
